Dental Implants
What they are. Dental
implants are surgical-grade artificial "roots" that can support crowns,
partials or dentures.
When and why they're needed. Dental implants are a safe, long-lasting option for patients
who require the replacement of a single tooth or a total dental rehabilitation.
This "root" is placed in the bone of the jaws, just like a natural tooth root.
After appropriate healing, a post and crown can be made to replace a single
tooth or - in the case of multiple missing teeth- a bridge, partial
denture or full denture can be fabricated.
